Sydney
Sydney is quite possibly Australia's best-known city around the world with its picturesque Harbor Bridge and Opera House. But there is a heap more to Sydney than its beautiful harbor. It is also the birthplace of Australia. The first convicts were dropped off in Sydney at The Rocks. That's where it all got started.
Today, Sydney is bustling with activity. Check out the CBD, Oxford Street's entertainment and nightlife, and also the ever so famous King's Cross. There is also Bondi Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the world.
A must-see in Sydney is the Opera House, which is known for its phenomenal sail-like construction.
Now there are five chambers in the Opera House where guests can be delighted by plays, films, and operas, of course!
Before there was the Opera House, there was the Sydney Harbor Bridge. The Harbor Bridge's construction was completed in 1932 and cost just about $20 million to build. Now, both the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House compliment one another to make Sydney's harbor world-famous.
Sydney has some of the best botanical gardens we have ever seen. If you are in the Harbor Area, take a quiet stroll through the Royal Botanical Gardens. The gardens offer over 400 types of plants from the tropics and 27 hectares of fun. Yes, indeed, it is well worth it. Not only is the park well kept, you can watch people resting in the park, throw the ball around, and also can watch couples going hand and hand.
Bondi Beach is a great place to go and spend a nice afternoon of people watching or laying in the sand. Off of South Bondi, you can pretend you are a cliff trekker, zig zagging to a look out over the South Pacific that can give you goose bumps.
