The Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is Australia's party ground. Stretching just 35 kilometers from "The Spit" just outside South Port down to Coolangatta, the Gold Cost (known as the "GC" for short) has a taste that pretty much anyone can enjoy. Also, there are a great amount of theme parks and activities to keep you busy and wanting to come back for more.

Surfer's Paradise, or known simply as just "Surfer's" to locals, is the core of the Gold Coast. Over the years, development has come to Surfer's in many waves, and today the skyline is dotted with many high rise towers. With its towering holiday rental buildings, Surfer's Paradise is recently famous for the Q1 building that attracted worldwide attention and acclaim. For a quieter time on the Gold Coast, check out the ultra chic Broadbeach.

But also, get away from the coast and head up to the sometimes-forgot Hinterland.

This area will be sure to give you a different perspective of the Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast Hinterland is just about 30 kilometers away from Surfer's Paradise. Here you will find some of the best National Parks in Australia, such as Lamington and Springbrook. We checked out Springbrook recently and look at what we saw. You can take a nice bushwalk here at any time of the year.

Springbrook is famous for the Natural Bridge section of the park, and along the way, you can spot waterfalls. There are also many lookouts. On a clear day from the Best of All Lookout (yes, that's its name), you can see all the way around the Gold Coast and this lookout offers an amazing perspective on The Gold Coast.
