Noosa and the Sunshine Coast
Noosa is a trendy resort town on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. Intentionally kept small to preserve the atmosphere, the wealthy and sophisticated have made Noosa home. Amazing tropical forests and plants, all the while being nestled up next to the cobalt blue South Pacific Ocean explain the aesthetics of Noosa.
While in Noosa, check out Hastings Street where you can browse through all the shops. After that, take a nice walk through Noosa National Park.
Take some time to go to the Main Beach, just off of Hastings Street. During the week, the beach is pretty quiet. But during the weekend, it is a bit crowded. It is still a nice asset to the well-structured resort town of Noosa.
The Sunshine Coast offers some of the best beaches in Australia. While Main Beach can be sometimes crowded, other beaches along the coast are quiet and relaxing. Visitors to the Sunshine Coast beaches will be amazed on how secluded the beaches are from that of the Gold Coast.
You know those times when you just get in the car and drive? You don't know where you are really going, but you just go anyway? Well that's what we did and we were in for a nice surprise: Double Island Point.
Just outside of Noosa, this island allows for you to drive on the beach that extends for miles. It is really great. The beach stretches as far as the eye can see, with Noosa to your back, you feel like a free bird. Now, be careful, as we got stuck in the sand and it took a team of locals to get our Jeep out. Plus, our rental car company said explicitly, no driving on the beach... oops. Be sure to check your car restrictions, or just ignore them like we did.
